Sr. Corporate Network Engineer

Box is hiring a Corporate Network Engineer who brings solid experience in networking and supporting wireless technologies. We're looking for someone who is excited to dive into new projects, fix problems, and work in a strong, collaborative culture. The corporate network team drives the strategy for our new global office buildouts and works closely with the security, IT, and production network team.
 
 RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build out new trend setting offices as well as continued network support for our existing offices worldwide
  • Own projects end to end including gathering requirements, designing solutions, and continuing delivery
  • Install, support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices - including routers, switches, firewalls and WiFi equipment  
  • Develop and document monitoring processes and procedures
  • Work closely with the production network team to align on standards in architecture and workflow processes
  • Diagnose problems and solve issues, often under time constraints
  • Research and test new technologies
  • Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions
  • Identify and communicate improvement opportunities
  • Train and guide others on their team on technical skills as needed
  • Ability to communicate clearly on technical topics
  • Transfer knowledge and guide understanding of technologies and objectives
  • Remain current on emerging technologies via internal and external training, independent research and study, and other available avenues
  • Participate in on-call rotation
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • 5+ years experience working in enterprise network environments of at least 300 users or above
  • Design and operational expertise in enterprise wireless technologies (Aruba is a plus)
  • Deep understanding and operational expertise in Firewalls (Palo Alto Networks is a plus)
  • Detailed understanding and operational expertise in SSL VPN technologies (Cisco, Pulse Secure)
  • Routing expertise with protocols including BGP, ISIS, and OSPF
  • Switching (Spanning Tree, standard LAN protocols, LACP, trunk, 802.1q)
  • Experience deploying Network Access Control (NAC) solution (Aruba Clearpass is a plus)
  • Network Monitoring experience (Netflow/SFlow)
  • Automation experience (Python/Ansible a plus)
