Why Box Needs You

We're looking for a Mobile engineer to join us in developing best-in-class enterprise applications that are digitally transforming traditional workplaces to be truly mobile. Our apps allow millions of Box customers to work with their content and collaborate with their teams, wherever they are. Box mobile apps have often been featured on both Google Play and App Store.

What You'll Do
  • Use rich mobile capabilities to enable users to create content or be notified of changes to their workflows and shared files.
  • Build powerful tools that enable our users to organise and interact with their content, leave annotations on files and collaborate with their team seamlessly.
  • Weave frictionless security features into our apps.
  • Bring improvements to the very vast scope of features powering Box mobile apps' experiences - advanced networking and caching, access control, EMM and integrations with 3rd party applications.
  • Strengthen the technical foundation to accelerate development of future features and experiences
  • Make sure that code you deliver is of highest quality by writing and maintaining tests (unit, functional, snapshot) which are run both on simulators and a farm of real devices.
  • Promote best practices and contribute to up-levelling the team through code & design review process.
  • Use analytics to better inform our product strategy.
  • Collaborate with Poland and RWC teams and have impact on future technical directions of our projects.
  • Learn with us. Most of us are part of mentoring relationships, so we can continue to grow ourselves, and those around us. We also love diving into architectural and UX advances on the mobile platforms. You will use state-of-the-art architecture and technologies to benefit from all the up-to-date features the mobile platforms have to offer.


Requirements
  • You have 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • You've shipped one or more native Android apps or SDKs
  • You are proficient in both Kotlin (preferably including Coroutines) and Java
  • You bring significant experience in Android frameworks (preferably including Jetpack Compose), and strong knowledge of software design principles
  • You have experience with unit, functional and snapshot testing
  • You are familiar with CI/CD (preferably Jenkins) and automation concepts
  • You're able to collaborate well with your team mates local or remote
  • You are passionate about growing, and developing those around you
  • You engage in thoughtful investigation of data to compliment decision making
  • You have academic background in computer science or a related field.
