Renewals Advisor

Be a key contributor on Box's high performing Renewal Sales team. The Renewals Advisor will develop and drive the renewal process by reaching out to our annual subscription customers 120 days in advance of their contract end date and executing all phases of subscription renewal lifecycle. This includes up front communication, preparation of pricing options, identification of new use cases and expansion opportunities, revisions to terms and conditions, obtaining contract signatures and filing appropriate paperwork.
  • A minimum of two years experience in renewals, sales, account management or equivalent customer facing role
  • Must be motivated, goal oriented and able to work independently
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, complete activities and meet deadlines on a daily basis
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Requires the ability to acquire an understanding of the general functions of other divisions and their role in assisting with Renewals
  • 4-year degree


  • Retain and increase subscription revenue, usage, subscriptions and market share in existing customer accounts
  • Achieve individual goals on a monthly basis
  • Engage in consultative discovery conversations to uncover account expansion and multi-year subscription opportunities
  • Verify contracts and review terms and conditions
  • Create proposals, including renewal rate calculations and contract preparation
  • Own and develop internal process for collaboration with inside and field sales teams 
  • Contribute ideas to develop team process and best practices


  • Manage a portfolio of monthly renewals ensuring customer retention and high dollar over dollar renewal rates
  • Manage outbound communication to clients (e-mail and phone) and resolve issues and/or inquiries related to annual subscription contracts in an accurate and timely manner
  • Partner with sales team to provide seamless customer interaction 
  • Work closely with finance and legal teams to ensure all contracts are accurate
  • Partner with other renewal team members as appropriate to assist with successful completion of renewal
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Box services
