Director of Pre-Sales EMEA

Box is looking for an experienced Director of Pre-Sales to take on the leadership of our extremely talented Sales Engineers in EMEA. Based geographically across the region, the Sales Engineering team has a range of experience from new into role to seasoned professionals with 30+ years experience. Your role will be to take the team to the next level by providing leadership, mentoring, guidance and support as the Box product set expands and the team continues to grow. In addition to managing the team, you will be a member of the leadership team in EMEA providing input into the planning and strategy of the region. Finally, you will act at the product ambassador for EMEA with direct links into the Product Management team to provide feedback on product, assist in prioritizing new features and being the product evangelist in the region.
  • Manage the existing Sales Engineering team with responsibility for hiring, developing and growing the team
  • Lead the technical forecast process as part of the sales leadership team
  • Attend the EMEA leadership meetings and be an active participant in the running of the region
  • Be the technical executive sponsor for our major prospects and customers
  • Represent the Product team in EMEA becoming the expert on both product and company direction
  • Gather sentiment and feedback from customers and prospects on product and roadmap
  • Be the escalation point for product related questions from pre / post sales team
  • Lead the Analyst relations efforts in region and speak as a thought leader at conferences and event
  • Head the competitive intelligence initiatives for the region
Role Requirements
  • Experience in leading a geographically dispersed team at director level and above
  • Have been in a position of senior leadership
  • Previous experience of Sales Engineering high desirable
  • Confident presenting to technical and non-technical audiences both small and large in number
  • Proven credibility engaging with c-level executives
  • Experience of working with the analyst community highly desirable
  • Must have a record of selling multi-tenant cloud solutions
