Director, GTM People Partner

Box’s People Team focuses on attracting, developing, and retaining world-class talent. And the way we do it is simple: by fostering an environment that keeps Boxers growing, productive, and happy. We are looking fora dynamic, and experienced leader to join our People team, who will be responsible for leading our Go To Market People Partners.  People Partners help us grow our unique, innovative culture whilst driving and developing our people programs and excite and retain Boxers in key client groups.

This role is responsible for leading the People Partner team for the Go to Market business, incorporating Field Sales, Commercial, Marketing, BD and Customer Success teams in the US. In addition, to leading a team of People Partners responsible for these client groups, this individual will play an instrumental role on the People Leadership team, participating in and influencing the over all People Strategy for Box and will be the People Partner to our Sales leaders and the COO.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • People Management of GTM People Partners in the US
  • Creates/inputs to People Team and People Partners functional strategic plan and ensures successful execution
  • Develop and maintain effective partnerships with org leaders, managers and individual contributors
  • Work closely with leadership and managers on organizational change initiatives, people/performance decisions and actions, talent management development, succession planning, employee engagement, communication, and HR program roll out
  • Partner with other People functions and internal resources to drive and execute corporate wide People Initiatives and programs
  • Assess organizational health and effectiveness on a regular basis (pulse of the org) and identify opportunities to drive improvements and efficiencies
  • Act as a liaison between the People Team, client groups, and other stakeholders at Box, all while representing Box values and culture
  • Decision making in this role will at times impact and transcend the wider company, not just this function
  • Scope and impact of this role will be both tactical and strategic, solving mostly for the mid term future of Box
 
EXPERIENCE
  • 10+ years applicable HR Business Partner experience, with 8+ years Management/Leadership experience
  • Held positions of significant functional or corporate level impact at other similar sized or larger organizations
  • Combines in-depth knowledge of Box business, functional expertise, with an understanding of the competitive landscape and the impact this has on company outcomes
  • Has experience of adapting/localizing initiatives and programs outside of HQ to ensure successful adoption worldwide
  • Demonstrated ability scaling processes and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment with minimal direction
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Excellent communication, mediation, influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think critically, problem solve, and recommend effective solutions
  • Must be able to work at various levels - Strategic, operational and tactical
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the tech industry
  • Experience working at companies big (1500+) and small
  • A sense of humor!
