Team Lead Digital Partner Experience - Email Marketing

This role is part of the Digital Channels team within Digital Partner Experience (DPE) who focuses on scaling the management of our supply partners and ultimately empowering these partners to discover commercial growth opportunities. Our target audience includes a diverse range of accommodations globally, who are currently in partnership or in the process of partnering with Booking.com.

The Email Team Lead role within DPE is responsible for leading, handling and developing a team of enthusiastic email specialists. The focus area is leading the email channel in all senses of the word: process setting, optimizing performance of the channel (reach, conversion, satisfaction etc.), deploying experiments, and validating and scaling flows and journeys. Our marketing campaigns are set-up with advanced marketing automation tools. Alongside leading and managing the email team you will need to work with internal partners to initiate and define new projects while at the same time handle the partner's experience within the email channel.

People Management

  • Lead a team of 4 - 5 (senior) email marketing specialists (level D/E), assisting them in marketing automation, partners journeys/flows management, operations and making data-driven decisions
  • Invest in the team's coaching and development with a particular focused on learning and growing their performance email and marketing knowledge
  • Facilitate the workload allocation for the team and ensure the assigned work is delivered with quality
  • Drive collaboration by building a culture of ownership, respect & learning, cultivating a space where your people can do their best work
  • Encourage innovation, developing creative solutions within digital marketing
Key Account/Stakeholder Management
  • Develop strong working relationships with requesters internal stakeholders ensuring new opportunities are identified and appropriately researched, prioritized, and driven
  • Work closely with the analytics team to ensure performance targets are met and analyze performance data and translate it into tactics to drive growth for the business
  • We expect you to challenge the status quo by putting forward experiments to grow results.
  • Establishing long-term, positive relationships within the organization (internal and external stakeholders) will be contributing to your own and your team's performance.
Project management
  • Lead and execution support in sophisticated email projects where a more in-depth knowledge of marketing automation, customer journey and flow of different touchpoints is needed.
  • Day to day management of email campaigns on different tools, being responsible for the channel performance and continuously improving email reach and engagement.
  • Use data to identify and prioritize work that drives value to the team and/or company
  • Build high-quality email project plans/delivery pathways that map timings/ownership for complex, important business partner projects.
  • Ensure all relevant projects have an active project plan with clear timings and ownership in place.
B.Skilled
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience within a multi-national organisation, travel or marketing industries, preferably in a Business-to-Business context.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and relevant KPI's
  • Commercially aware to effectively prioritize and make decisions based on business needs
  • Experience leading a team in a growing, fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable interacting throughout the organization and with external partners
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Strong and high energy team player demonstrating flexibility and positive communication that motivates and influences the achievement of team objectives.
  • Consistent track record of change management, supporting team members and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with deploying marketing automation tools to achieve measurable results. Marketo expertise preferred.
  • Creative problem solver with excellent analytical skills and a learning mentality..
  • Outstanding oral and written communication with the ability to facilitate discussions with both execution and leadership teams.
