Key Account Manager US Business Travel – Technology Partnerships

This role is responsible for supporting the growth of BV's technology partnerships with a focus on the Global Online Booking Engine (OBE) channel in the US. As a Key Account Manager US – Technology Partnerships you will support managing BV's existing relationship with OBE's in an effort to grow the channel by partnering to help onboard new and maintain existing enterprise clients. Successful candidates will have a good balance of channel experience to support with driving new business while maintaining strong relationships with its existing customers to grow revenue (account management). You will have a sixth sense for a great customer experience and you always keep your eye on the end-user.

This position is based either in our New York office or in our San Francisco office.

Main Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for strategic technology partners in the US;
  • Promote BV's brand name and its online reservation services to OBE's;
  • Support BV in managing technology partnerships by building deep relationships with the relevant stakeholders on all aspects of partner interaction;
  • Monitor research and report findings on market developments in the OBE industry;
  • Support BV and assigned OBE channel in managing all processes that lead to a successful customer experience (i.e. leads, prospecting, establishing first contact, meetings, integration and ongoing support & growth);
  • Seek out and implement opportunities to optimize production of BV's content through all assigned OBE channels;
  • Create and execute on strategic account plans for designated accounts;
  • Liaise with other commercial teams within Business Bookers department in the US and Amsterdam including the SMB, Enterprise, and Travel Management Companies (TMC) Teams;
  • Represent at industry events and trade shows;
  • Establish an understanding of the business objectives of technology partners and match these to services offered by BV to maximize new business opportunities;


  • 5+ years relevant business development, account management experience in the corporate travel segment
  • Online travel industry knowledge preferred
  • Proven track record / experience with different channels especially online booking engines (OBE) or tools
  • Possess good understanding of integration documentation and API's
  • Ability to demonstrate strong networking skills in order to connect with different internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to adjust communication style depending on the stakeholders
  • Ability to read and interpret multiple data sources in order to define short/medium/long term goals
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload in line with business needs
  • Strong Customer Experience focus and proactive attitude
  • Fluent English speaker and writer
  • Availability to travel min 50% (Domestic and International)
  • Possess unexpired US Passport or ability to secure passport
