Key Account Manager Business Travel – Northeast

This Position Can Be Located In New York, NY (Financial District)

As a Key Account Manager for Business Travel you will provide support to Booking.com BV by informing new business customers about the services it offers, and at the same time you will also support Booking.com BV in managing and maintaining its relationships with corporate enterprise clients within the US. Successful candidates will have a good balance of channel experience to help Booking.com driving new business while maintaining strong relationships with its existing customers to support growth (account management). You will have a sixth sense for a great customer experience and you always keep your eye on the end-user.

Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • First point of contact for corporate enterprise clients;
  • Help Booking.com BV with identifying opportunities, potential end-user clients with focus on decision makers;
  • Promote Booking.com BV's brand name and its online reservation services to potential corporate enterprise clients and select channel partners;
  • Monitor research and report findings on market developments in the travel industry;
  • Answering RFP's (Request for Proposal) documents submitted by corporate enterprise clients;
  • Support Booking.com BV in monitoring the success of each account and managing client relationships by advising on Booking.com BV products and services;
  • Support Booking.com BV in managing all processes that lead to a successful customer experience (i.e. leads, prospecting, establishing first contact, meetings, integration and ongoing support & growth);
  • Seek out and implement opportunities to optimize production of Booking.com BV's content through partner channels;
  • Create and execute on strategic account plan for designated accounts;
  • Liaise with other teams within Business Bookers department in the US and Amsterdam including the SME, Enterprise, and OBE Teams;
  • Represent at industry events and trade shows.

Qualifications/Skills

  • 5+ years relevant business development and/or account management experience in the corporate travel segment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Online travel industry knowledge preferred
  • Proven track record of managing contract processes
  • Ability to demonstrate strong networking skills in order to connect with different internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to adjust communication style depending on the stakeholders
  • Ability to read and interpret multiple data sources in order to define short/medium/long term goals
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload in line with business needs
  • Strong Customer Experience focus and proactive attitude
  • Fluent English speaker and writer
  • Availability to travel min 50% of the time
  • Valid license for driving in the United States
