Social Media Marketing Manager

Bonobos is looking for a savvy and driven content creator to be the real time voice of the brand as Bonobos’ Social Media Marketing Manager.

As a member of Bonobos’ marketing team, you will take a leadership role in conceptualizing, creating, promoting, and amplifying short and long form content for Bonobos’ social media channels, as well as reporting and optimizing social media performance. You will employ strategies and create content that contextualize the brand and our products while enhancing the shopping experience for current and prospective customers. You will create a dialogue and engage with the Bonobos community, and social media influencers on a daily basis.

What you'll do…

Strategy & Optimization

  • Define and drive our social media strategy (in partnership with our Content Director), planning and executing the social media content calendar 2-3 months in advance
  • Work cross functionally with various lanes across the business including Creative, Performance Marketing, PR, Photography, Customer Service Ninjas, and People Operations
  • Analyze data and compile weekly/monthly reports that include metrics on engagement, community growth, referral traffic and conversions, customer acquisition, etc.
  • Benchmark and monitor competitor and industry leaders in social media to apply best practices, leapfrog initiatives, and improve the overall social-media strategy
  • Act as our resident expert on all things social, including best practices, testing emerging platforms, and competitive analysis
  • Provide channel expertise to other lanes owning a social media platform (HR: Linkedin, Ninjas: Bonobos Ninjas, Product Marketing: Bonobos Golf, and Guideshop teams: All local profiles)

Campaign and Content Creation

  • Ideate social-media centric campaigns, and work cross-functionally to support them
  • Partner with the internal creative team to create, edit, and publish all Bonobos social media content
  • Collaborate with our Content and Campaigns manager to ensure that high-priority product and collection launches are appropriately supported in our video strategy
  • Drive strategy, concepting, and execution for our live video programs, including Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Ensure all social communication meets brand guidelines, standards and tone
  • Work with third party partners and our internal legal team to create engagement-driving contests, sweepstakes, and give-aways
  • Build relationships with existing influencers, as well as seeking out new relationships, and create influencer marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, channel growth and engagement

Daily Platform and Community Management

  • In partnership with our Social Media Associate and Bonobos’ Customer Service Ninja team, manage day-to-day social media platforms in including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and YouTube
  • Collaborate with Ninja lane to ensure SLAs across platforms are met


  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Public Relations, or similar field or commensurate experience
  • Are a firehose of creativity and great ideas, and a skilled and confident content creator
  • Have a demonstrated interest in and/or knowledge of style and fashion (especially in the men’s lifestyle)
  • Are entrepreneurial and results driven
  • Have 4-6 years of experience working in marketing or editorial at an agency or in-house at a brand
  • Consider yourself a highly creative person and have experience writing and creating content for an editorial outlet, agency, or consumer brand
  • Are obsessed with pretty much every social platform and have a deep understanding of emerging social platforms and capabilities for brands
  • Love brands and have a proven interest in culture and what other brands are doing to contribute to the cultural dialogue
