Business Planning Analyst

Bonobos is looking for a razor sharp Business Planning Analyst who is intellectually curious and hungry for an entrepreneurial role at a rapidly growing company.

As a member of Bonobos’ planning team, you’ll be a part of the lane that is responsible for the successful development, execution and communication of financial assortment and inventory plans for Bonobos. What does that mean? You will be a part of our first-class team focused on making sure we make money!

As our Business Planning Analyst, you will report to our Planning Manager and you will provide support across a number of functions from maintaining receipts to developing in depth analytical reports. While you’ll be responsible for sometimes arduous tactical work to keep the team running at top speed, your strategic thinking and analysis will help to drive business and make a big impact, and your reports will be utilized in key meetings. What the heck are those? Think hindsight meetings and investment reviews, which is where the real magic happens.

What you’ll do…

  • Generate all purchase orders each season in accordance with the line list to meet vendor deadlines
  • Maintain receipts, update key item plans, and make size selling recommendations for multiple product categories
  • Develop reports and conduct analysis of these categories which will play an active role in hindsight meetings and investment reviews
  • Manage product ETA to warehouse and distribution schedule to ensure all products arrive to shops on time
  • Play a key part in creating and reaching departmental goals and improving processes
  • Oversee and manage all inventory transfers and needs for Guideshops
  • Utilize your analytical ability to synthesize data from different systems to understand business trends and provide forward-looking insight
  • Understand all buys per month to appropriately plan, buy, and allocate product to each unique Guideshop
  • Will work cross functionally with multiple lanes including Planning, Marketing, Merchandising and Production
  • Clearly communicate to our shops on directives, markdowns, low and other stock issues
  • Assist the Planning lane with departmental goals and processes 


  • Have a Bachelor's degree and an interest in Merchandise and/or Store Planning
  • Are self-confident and can participate and provide input in investment review
  • Are quick to learn new systems and tools (bonus points if you already know your way around Excel)
  • Effectively communicate (verbal & written) internally and externally
  • Can wear many hats and manage multiple business channels as the needs of the business develop
  • Have the willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what’s necessary
  • Convey a can-do, positive attitude towards tackling problems
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve initiatives
