We're seeking a future team member in the role of Lead Analyst, Data Management & Quantitative Analysis to join our Enterprise Data Management team. This role is in Wilmington, DE - HYBRID.

Enterprise Data Management is focused on delivering the firm's master data strategy, implementing enterprise data policies & governance, driving a holistic access to data via our data Lake, and enabling the business to deliver advanced outcomes for ourselves and our customers using AI/ML techniques.

In the process of focusing on this agenda - we participate in the remediation of data centric regulation. We help our operations teams transform how we operate, while optimizing our data centric cost structure and reducing our operating & regulatory risk, and provide innovative, data centric commercial opportunities.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Data Management (Pricing) - Works with internal and external datasets and client reference data and provides analysis in the development of statistical, financial and/or econometric models for analyzing asset performance, securities data, derivative pricing, risk exposure or other sophisticated concepts. Provides analytical support and prepares drafts of standard and ad hoc reports for assigned area. With general guidance, supports assigned area with basic statistical and quantitative analyses. Assist in the oversight of data management activities in support of more senior members of the management team. Builds knowledge of technology tools used to conduct analyses. Applies techniques such as querying to extract data for analysis. Builds knowledge of processes and products and which analyses, methodologies and approaches best support assessment of performance, risk, or valuation. Interprets findings and prepares initial drafts of standard reports. Primarily responsible for the accuracy and quality of own work. Work contributes to the achievement of team goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily pricing of mutual funds for a large client via an exception based process. Oversight of pricing feeds and review/approval of exceptions.
  • Addressing ad-hoc client reporting requirements as they arise
  • Following procedures/executing controls to ensure compliance with internal and external auditing standards
  • Strong attention to escalation of any pricing issues that break acceptable tolerance thresh-holds
  • Communicating with stakeholders inside and outside the organization
  • Managing small team of staff level direct reports
Candidate should have a thorough degree of understanding/interest in financial services. Responsible for oversight, gathering and input/review of data. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, attentive to detail, focused, and is risk aware. The position has daily deliverables that require accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency. The industry is subject to heavy regulation and the candidate must be able to follow policies and procedures as written. The team stresses continuous process improvement and will work with the candidate to improve and create efficiencies on the team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-4 years' experience preferred in financial services industry
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong communicator and ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize effectively when handling issues that arise unexpectedly
  • Ability to train new team members and provide continued guidance
