Azure Cloud Engineer

We're seeking a future team member in the role of Azure Cloud Engineer to join our Information and Technology Services / Cloud Engineering team. This role is located in New Jersey NJ / Pittsburg PA - HYBRID.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Designing scalable infrastructure platforms. You'll be a part of the designing of our next generation cloud platform to meet the growing needs of the business
• Programming the data center. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining software the will be responsible for the dynamic management of our data centers
• Supporting our internal customers. You'll be responsible for providing technical guidance and know how to our internal teams on how to best leverage the cloud services available to them
• Triaging infrastructure issues. You'll be part of the level three triaging team that will provide support for cloud infrastructure issues that affect our fleet of robots.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience is required, advanced degree is preferred.
• Ten (10+) years of software development or related experience is required.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry. Hand-on experience with Azure and at least 1 additional cloud provider, AWS or GCP
• At least one scripting language - Python, Ruby
• At least one programming language - Java, Scala, C#, C++
• Experience with definition of Cloud Management Platform Security Policies for Azure
• Experience with Terraform
• Understanding of Cloud applications architecture and micro services model development including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
• Experienced with using Cloud Orchestration/Workflow Automation and building distributed scalable applications.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $108,000 and $215,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 10-14 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Job holder must have understanding interdependencies and business impact of future IT plans. S/he must have prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies.
