[Contractor] Data Architect (US)

A Data Architect provides technical expertise and data skills for specific data migration objectives within a work stream. He/she demonstrates expertise related to some or all of the following: emerging new technologies, data extraction, data migration, data analysis, analytics, and sql skills. A Data Architect has the ability to learn, analyze, and apply new technologies quickly to implement data deliverables and is capable of collaborating on advanced technical consultative services during the duration of a delivery engagement. This person is responsible for developing SQL Script, analyzing data, creating data metrics, and integrating data using emerging technologies. A strong understanding of relational databases with a developed competency around MS SQL Server, MYSQL, or Oracle is highly desirable; Familiarity with relational data models is a must. He/she is responsible for contributing to multiple technical projects at one time and may be asked to coordinate junior or global resources from time to time.

Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively individually and with team members to achieve customer satisfaction and success
  • Assume ownership and responsibility for data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity of data fields
  • Responsible for consolidating, transforming, and migrating data from many source systems
  • Design, and develop scripts in SQL, and other technologies
  • Coordinate with business/IT to capture field mapping, field transformation and normalization logic
  • SQL script achieves passing rating during regular review
  • Build batch integration jobs based on instructions and pre-established guidelines from a Technical Architect using existing tools available
  • Facilitate code sharing and control by regularly submitting code to concurrent version system repository
  • Operates solo as data architect on big enterprise data projects, and leverage data specialist to execute data tasks
  • Acts as subject matter expert for projects including analysis of legacy files, matching of data, validating data, and providing a seamless transition to Salesforce
  • Knowledge of custom dev, and integration
  • Can take project ownership and see the project through completion
  • Travel probable: 50-75%
  • Achieve Salesforce.com certification requirements; Platform Developer I and Data Architect

Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Effectively collaborates with project team and client resources to deliver on data requirements
  • Experience analyzing data and presenting data quality metrics to clients
  • Experience handling large data volume and uses multiple tools to research and analyze information
  • Good understanding of data quality tools, including hands on experience in data cleansing, data enrichment, and data manipulations
  • Implementation experience in salesforce data migration projects, including hands on experience in data extraction, writing transformation script, and migrating data
  • Professional development experience with and knowledge of relational databases, including work with MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or other common RDBMS
  • Knowledge of best practices and principles for data modeling, dashboards, report design, analytics, and data mining
  • Can walk-through data migration process to clients
  • Conduct data migration process review session. Can interact with clients technical team, identify source system data, write/execute data migration plan
  • Identifying and documenting data milestones
  • Knowledge of Agile development practices, particularly scrum and sprint based delivery
  • Prior Salesforce Data Migration experience
  • Possessing Platform Dev I certifications is highly desirable
  • Seeks ongoing opportunities for Professional Development

Education:

  • Requires a bachelor degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, and 2-4 years of consulting work experience
