Senior Software Engineer, Tools – Unannounced Project

 

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for an engineer passionate about providing best-in-class tools to content creators. The ideal candidate has an uncanny ability to detect inefficiencies and dramatically improve them. Each member of our small team of veteran developers will have the chance to have a big impact on the overall design, artistic vision, and technology of a new mobile game.

 

Responsibilities:

-          Build tools to support art, design, and sound department workflows

-          Develop and maintain Android & iOS build pipelines

-          Coordinate with shared services groups to facilitate application and content distribution

 

Requirements:

-          At least 5 years of professional tools programming for games

-          Fluency in C++ or C#

-          Effective communication skills with developers of all technical skill level

-          Excited by improving iteration times & reducing friction

-          An extensive background in debugging & troubleshooting

-          A passion for Blizzard games

 

Plusses:

-          3ds Studio Max or Maya plugin development

-          Experience shipping titles using your tools

-          Experience with Unity development

-          Experience with IMGUI or other rapid GUI development frameworks

-          Familiarity with git, perforce, or subversion

-          Familiarity with python or other interpreted languages

-          User interface design experience
