DUTIES

  • Manage and lead a team of highly skilled Network Engineers.
  • Responsible for building, supporting, and optimizing a large scale, complex, high performance network.
  • Lead the team to Identify, Automate, and Improve Operational processes, mitigate and eliminate potential risk, defects, trends for a rapid scale of the environment.
  • Ensure network agility without compromising quality.
  • Strong understanding of Network Monitoring, developing visualization and reporting capabilities.
  • Communicate with leadership and other management to plan and implement strategic objectives.
  • Develop professional relationships with internal customers and establish effective solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Work with Technical management on optimizing network designs.
  • Ensure that all services provide accurate and effective telemetry.
  • Recruit and train employees, develop personal growth opportunities, provide leadership for employee relations
  • Manage, mentor, motivate, and level up the talented members of the Network Engineering team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience in next-gen network/product architecture design for large-scale network deployment for high-volume, high-availability network infra.
  • Great communicator and able to drive consensus across diverse/global technology teams.
  • Demonstrated successful experience with metrics/KPI-based deliverables with accountability.
  • Strong understanding about network programming using such as Ansible or Python.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and deploying large scale network technologies.
  • Expert level knowledge of key large scale network technologies like VXLAN F/L & eVPN, Clos Fabric, Spanning tree, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Server Load Balancing, ECMP etc.
  • Strong understanding of Data Link, Network and Transport layer fundamentals.
  • Able to effectively discuss, translate, and describe highly complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Unrelenting champion of service availability and reliability, downtime is not in your vocabulary
  • Obsessed with continual service improvement and automation
  • Able to effectively discuss, translate, and describe highly complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Dynamic personality and can quickly establish trust and rapport at all levels of the organization

PLUSES

  • Expert-level network certification preferred (CCIE, JNCIE, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of H/W architecture of various Network Hardware from cisco, juniper and A10/F5.
  • Comfortable working in a fast pace high demand work environment
  • Can read and write in programming languages such as Python, Go etc

Irvine/Southern California is preferred but remote may be considered
