Localization Editor, Russian

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and highly motivated Russian editor. This person will be responsible for proofreading, editing and providing feedback on translated assets for Blizzard Entertainment in-game content, as well as related print material. The ideal candidate is an experienced individual with a professional writing and editing background and has higher level education in a translation-related discipline. Excellent language skills in Russian and English are required for this position.




  • Create, update, and maintain clear and detailed localization style guides and glossaries
  • Create and correct translation tests for recruitment and vendor selection
  • Review localized material and provide consistent feedback
  • Provide linguistic expertise to related teams, assuring the quality of the localized content
  • Work closely with localization staff, related internal teams and third party publishers
  • Maintain consistency and quality of localized assets across the entire project
  • Other duties as assigned




  • A minimum of 2 years professional editing or writing experience
  • Experience with CAT (computer aided translation tools) and systems
  • Excellent English and Russian language skills
  • Passion for video games, heroic fantasy, and sci-fi worlds
  • Passion for languages, translation and localization
  • Proven experience in providing consistent and constructive feedback to peers
  • Excellent team work and cooperation skills and the ability to foster teamwork
