Lead Broadcast Engineer

Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a Broadcast Engineer to support our Global Broadcast Team. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated individual with outstanding communications abilities and a highly skilled in Broadcast Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Define best practices, workflows and documentation
  • Support all internal broadcasts from the studio
  • Manage all technical staff at the studio
  • Manage all technical aspects of the studio
  • Maintain Equipment and Inventory at the studio
  • Help design and integrate systems to best suit desired workflows
  • Support events and broadcasts with technical knowledge and guidance
  • Monitor streaming events
  • Engineer Epic Experiences

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of Industry Experience
  • A masterful understanding of all aspects of broadcast production and technology
  • A masterful understanding of consumer streaming workflows and technologies
  • Operational experience with video equipment: switchers, routers, playback, record, etc
  • Operation experience with audio equipment: consoles, playback, snake systems, comm
  • Advanced understanding of web streaming workflows
  • Quick Learner
  • Well organized
  • Effective communicator
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Passion for games

Pluses

  • Linux Experience
  • Basic knowledge of Encoding, specifically Cloud Encoding and on premise encoding
  • Visio Experience
  • AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks Experience
  • Love for Esports
  • Experience with multiple streaming platforms
  • Experience with Media Asset Management Systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree
