Global Community Engagement Manager, Overwatch

Blizzard Entertainment seeks an energetic and self-motivated community engagement manager to join our global team. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving both internal and external customers, modern communication styles and mediums, and connecting the community through grassroots events and online engagement programs. They should have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of popular community platforms, notable experience with stakeholder management, and the ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between development, worldwide community, and product service teams
  • Rapidly gather questions and facilitate answers for regional community use
  • Monitor responsiveness rates and response times, pushing for continuous improvement
  • Consolidate and report on worldwide community trends, topics, and sentiment
  • Partner with the development team to create community messaging on owned/earned channels
  • Assist with creation of key messaging, reactive messaging, and FAQs for global use
  • Propose multi-region engagement initiatives to support major milestone rollouts
  • Develop multi-region grassroots event programs
  • Own multi-region events, including summits
  • Work with key stakeholders to determine needs for community events and activations
  • Coordinate development team participation in community events and activations
  • Set requirements and manage process for goodies (e.g., codes, game keys, swag)
  • Provide oversight and governance of cross-region engagement activities surrounding major milestone rollouts and community events

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in community management
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with esports and event coverage
  • Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with a global company
  • Extensive knowledge of brand communications, community development, and gaming ecosystems
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-motivation and initiative; impeccable time management and organization
