We are seeking an experienced Director of Publishing to join our Taiwan and Southeast Asia management team, who has a proven track record in product management, strategic planning and managing high performance teams. 

The Director of Publishing will be responsible for guiding our publishing leads to formulate product strategies and go-to-market plans with the aim of delivering epic Blizzard experiences to our players while meeting and exceeding business targets. 

Achieving these goals requires strong strategic sense, analytical thinking, and communication and influencing skills, as well as a passion for solving complex problems in collaboration with multiple stakeholders across regions and functions.  This position is based in Taipei.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to formulate and continuously re-examine the strategic plan for our business, with optimized priorities across our franchises and markets.
  • Manage publishing leads to formulate regional franchise strategies and go-to-market plans that are consistent with global product strategies and values, with appropriate prioritization of budgets and resources that maximize opportunities across key markets in our regions to meet our business objectives.
  • Manage publishing leads to timely deliver annual and quarterly franchise plans, regular performance tracking reports, and post-mortem analyses.
  • Collaborate with publishing leads to be the product experts and owners of the end-to-end players’ experience.
  • Champion special projects that are cross-franchise, cross-region, and/or that require development or engineering resources.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director, Marketing Director and publishing leads to deliver Annual Operating Plans that are consistent with our business priorities.
  • Support the Managing Director and Marketing Director on new market entry strategy.
  • Foster and maintain close relationships with HQ, International Ops and regional stakeholders to bridge communications between the local teams and regional/global teams.


  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in publishing, marketing, product management or strategic planning with a minimum of 5 years’ working in the video game, media, tech or Internet industry.
  • Experience in PnL management, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Skilled at project management, to proactively bring initiatives and deliverables to completion and escalate obstacles with a sense of urgency.
  • Experience working in a regional capacity across multiple markets; experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • Passion for data- and intelligence-driven decision-making.
  • Passion for games, particularly Blizzard games.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; ability to credibly and clearly articulate a vision or complex idea.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and regions, from manager to C-levels in a matrix organization.
  • Knowledge of game development process and associated tools and technologies.
  • Attention to detail is essential, as is completing all tasks with the highest level of quality.
  • Willingness to travel.


  • Shipped AAA PC or mobile games.
  • Experience with video game development pipelines, online games operation.
  • Experience in Southeast Asia markets.
  • Experience in partner management.
  • Multi-lingual, especially Mandarin Chinese, Thai or Vietnamese.
  • MBA.
