Corporate Communications Coordinator

Blizzard’s corporate communications team has an immediate opening for an experienced corporate communication coordinator. 

We are looking for a laser-focused, supernaturally organized coordinator to help our team of communications pros spread the word about Blizzard Entertainment.  The coordinator’s role will include a wide range of organizational activities, including media relations, event and schedule coordination, , and working with Blizzard’s corporate communications team to execute complex communication plans. The ideal candidate possesses an uncanny attention to detail, is an excellent communicator with the written and spoken word, is well-versed in modern communication practices, and has excellent time-micromanagement skills, the ability to laugh in the face of the unforeseen, and a passion for all things Blizzard.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist corporate communications team with a variety of communications programs and initiatives
  • Help develop and update library of communications assets and reference materials, including executive bios, headshots, and visual assets
  • Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and communications partners that lead to mainstream media coverage of the company and its initiatives
  • Track news coverage and produce weekly reports for key stakeholders
  • Work with team members to generate press releases, media alerts, and other communications materials
  • Work internationally and cross-functionally on new ways of leveraging social media to promote brand awareness and support key initiatives
  • Partner with key contacts across multiple regions to align corporate communications initiatives
  • Respond to incoming media requests in a timely manner
  • Assist in prepping press materials, press kits, and publicity programs
  • Research publications and pull briefing documents for media interviews
  • Assist in preparing presentation materials for senior leadership
  • Help with planning and execution of on-site and off-site events
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-year experience in corporate communications or public relations
  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, marketing, journalism, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proficiency with World, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, which encompasses solid grammar skills and knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style as well as Associated Press style
  • Excellent organization, project management, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and self-starter
  • Ability to be flexible and work under tight deadlines, and travel as needed
  • Experience working with social media across multiple channels
  • A passion for video gaming and the Blizzard brand
