BlackRock's campus recruiting team is looking for an associate recruiter responsible for driving school recruitment strategy at top colleges and universities, building and strengthening relationships with internal and external clients and serving as a talent scout for the firm.
The campus recruiting team is a fast moving, rapidly evolving team that is working to position BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager with over $6 trillion under management, as one of the leading employer brands at top colleges, universities and business schools within the United States and around the world.
The group's objective is to source and deliver exceptional entry level talent to the firm across a broad spectrum of roles, including investments, client businesses, analytics, technology, marketing, strategy and others. This is accomplished through developing close and collaborative relationships with leading educational institutions; leveraging BlackRock's extensive marketing capabilities to design and deploy an effective recruiting marketing campaign; utilizing technology to the fullest extent to connect with candidates; and developing sophisticated candidate screening and selection methods to cast a wide net for talent and hire the best while ensuring a great candidate experience.
This recruiter will be part of a small and close-knit team reporting to the US Head of Campus Recruiting. The role involves devising and executing the campus hiring strategy at colleges and universities across the United States while building and maintaining strong internal relationships with key business stake holders.
The recruiter will advise the business on target school selection; on-campus event strategy and content; summer intern program design; and candidate selling and closing, observing the firm's objective to build a diverse and inclusive workforce throughout. To accomplish this, the recruiter will work in close partnership with senior leaders within the business, HR business partners, and campus recruiting colleagues in New York and around the world. In so doing, the recruiter will be able to draw on the expertise of industry-leading marketing professionals within the firm, a variety of digital recruiting tools and the support of a highly collaborative culture, both within the recruiting team and in the firm at large.
We are looking for a creative, innovative thinker with strong communication skills who will be able to strengthen the BlackRock brand on campus and be a culture carrier for the firm.
The role will be based in New York at the firm's headquarters building in Midtown Manhattan.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years' professional, post-college experience regardless of field
- A demonstrable passion for campus recruiting is required
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
- Demonstrated problem solver with strong attention to detail
- Experience in client-facing role and demonstrated ability to build relationships both internally and externally
