Desktop Support Administrator

  • Excellent technical knowledge of PC hardware
  • Excellent hardware & software troubleshooting abilities
  • Working knowledge of Windows 7/8/10 & Windows Server 20008/2008R2/2012R2
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP & DNS
  • Windows Server, Active Directory & Group Policy administration experience
  • VMware administration experience
  • SQL Server database administration experience
  • A+ & Network+ certifications a plus
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience a plus
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) experience a plus
  • Router, switch, & firewall administration experience a plus
  • Some travel required

Your Responsibilities:

  • Be the sole IT resource in an office of ~60 employees (and growing), and run point on addressing all IT-related requests and issues originating from the office
  • Work with other IT team members to support the IT needs of the greater organization and execute IT projects
  • Work with other IT team members to support and mature the underlying infrastructure for a SaaS offering
  • Diagnose and quickly resolve a wide range of PC, Windows application and network connectivity issues
  • Work directly with vendors as appropriate to fulfill requests and address issues
  • Provision Windows laptops & virtual servers to meet company standards and user specifications
  • Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on servers, laptops, printers, and any other related peripheral equipment
  • Create documentation for IT processes and troubleshooting steps
