Senior Software Engineer
So you’re a happy, dedicated engineer, but what if you could be even happier? Imagine if your dedication helped ensure that non-profit organizations were able to continuously deliver their vital services to the groups they serve.
What You’ll Do:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and testing new features for emerging products. You’ll work as a member of the technology team to collaborate with UX and product management to define new features, as well as our support team to troubleshoot bug fixes and build tools that improve the internal developer experience.
We practice continuous delivery and work in a consistent (but not fanatical) agile environment. We believe that teams should have ownership of their solutions from inception to delivery, and have built a dev-ops culture around that belief.
We’re not too worried about experience with a specific stack – instead, we value curiosity, creativity, and experience shipping a real product using contemporary technologies. Our ideal engineer is pedantic about details but pragmatic about decision-making; self-directed in their work but collaborative in nature; opinionated about contemporary software development practices but open-minded to contrasting views.
Our employees are passionate about doing good and helping others with their own philanthropic missions. They love the arts, culture, wildlife, feeding the hungry and helping to save lives. Philanthropy is in our DNA. If you support a non-profit, chances are you’ll find someone here who supports that mission too. In other words, you’ll find a friend here (and we hope you bring your friends too).
Blackbaud’s Charleston headquarters, located on Daniel Island, provides an environment that helps our employees achieve balance, with opportunities to step away from the office for a little personal time. Parks, a fishing dock and miles of trails surround the office. Onsite amenities include a full-service café, a complete gym facility and access to recreational space for gaming or social gatherings.
