Prospect Account Executive - Enterprise

About the role:

We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Enterprise Account Executive with experience selling software solutions. This person will have the opportunity to work with our Enterprise customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and penetrating accounts within an assigned eastern US territory. They will navigate through large, complex nonprofit organizations positioning Blackbaud’s software, services and training as a best of breed high-end enterprise solutions. They will work collaboratively with other partners in our larger sales engagements to provide a total solution.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage sales activities to exceed assigned revenue objectives
  • Provide tactical and strategic plans with specific measurable time frames to penetrate prospect accounts
  • Call into target accounts with value-added messaging to strengthen relationships
  • Build and maintain an accurate pipeline and timely sales forecasts to management
  • Execute aggressively on the prospecting plan to create AE generated leads
  • Compete by positioning Blackbaud as the solution of choice and winning new accounts
  • Become a “trusted business advisor” and establish Executive relationships at senior levels within prospective accounts for each unique nonprofit organization
  • Work closely with professional services to present and differentiate Blackbaud’s total solution
  • Provide and or coordinate appropriate resources such as online and in-person demonstrations and proposals when needed to educate prospects and advance sales cycles
  • Identify internal teams, providing direction and leadership in each sales engagement
  • Develop and continue to foster a deep understanding of customer industry trends, the nonprofit marketplace and competitor developments

What we’ll want you to have:

  • 10+ years of experience positioning and selling large, complex solutions
  • Knowledge and experience working within a solution-selling and/or consultative selling methodology
  • Proven history of consistent over-quota achievement of sales goals within a solutions software vendor
  • Successful experience with acquiring new business
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Nonprofit industry experience a plus
  • Ability to travel 50% or more within territory
