Manager, Treasury – Payment Operations

Blackbaud has an immediate career opportunity for an experienced Treasury Manager – Payment Service Operations who will support the rapid growth of Blackbaud’s payment services business. We are seeking an enthusiastic team player who will be responsible for monitoring, reconciling, controlling and trouble-shooting the processing of payment transactions across Blackbaud’s payment processing platforms. In addition, this individual will assist with month-end closings and oversee the 1099-K reporting process. This position requires active communication with payments business personnel, internal product teams, bank partners and third party gateway/payment processors. This position will report to the Payment Business Treasurer and will manage a staff of two to four.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for managing the daily reconciliation of our transaction processing platforms and the ultimate receipt of cash into our bank accounts
  • Responsible for managing the daily processing of chargebacks related to processing online credit card transactions
  • Responsible for monitoring daily cash balances required for client disbursements
  • Recommend solutions to and participate in design and implementation of automated reconciliation and chargeback systems and processes
  • Responsible for the review and accuracy of related month-end accounting entries
  • Responsible for managing and optimizing the 1099-K process
  • Participant in SOC – 1 and internal audits
  • Work with and build relationships with Blackbaud payment processing partners/vendors/banks
  • Troubleshoot, research and recommend solutions relating to improving payment processing systems resolving issues with internal IT, Product Development teams and with third party processors
  • Partner with Payment Business management to provide decision support and analysis including financial reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Participate in the management of Blackbaud’s payment processing and disbursement operations

Experience and Capabilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 10+ years of banking, payment processing, treasury, accounting or related experience
  • Extensive experience with credit card payment processors, reconciling account balances and managing chargebacks
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service.
  • Excels at problem-solving and is process-oriented
  • Superior financial data analysis skills using Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills interacting with all levels of management
  • Knowledge of Lockbox operations, Card Association rules and NACHA regulations is desirable
