About the role:

We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Sr. Digital Marketing Consultant with fundraising experience who is a forward-thinking fundraising professional willing to challenge industry best practices to help clients achieve outstanding results. This person will take their understanding of the digital marketing and fundraising landscape to help Blackbaud's clients improve their digital fundraising/marketing KPIs and maximize their use of Blackbaud's products. The strongest candidates exhibit digital marketing savvy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify and resolve issues. This role works closely with the portfolio and technical teams and is a major contributor to the success of their clients' digital marketing and fundraising. We will consider hiring someone in any of our office locations or for remote work from the continental United States.

What you'll be doing:

  • Help nonprofits maximize their use of Blackbaud's online products across their digital campaigns by advising them on how to better engage, convert and steward constituents online using a variety of digital marketing strategies, including email, social and website
  • Work with nonprofits to improve their online giving, sustained giving, peer-to-peer fundraising, email marketing, email housefile growth, constituent engagement, and website traffic
  • May perform feasibility analysis, scope projects, and work with the project management team to prioritize deliverables, and negotiate on deliverables
  • Configure the software solution to meet the customer's business process requirements
  • Provide analytic support by coordinating data extraction from various databases and data interpretation.
  • Set appropriate expectations with the customer as it relates to project scope, timeline, and budget
  • Proactively identify project risk and develop a plan of action to mitigate it
  • Effectively manage customer expectations throughout project and identifies and presents Change Orders to the customer when the customer's requirements and/or budgeted project hours fall outside of the project scope
  • Contribute to development of new offerings
  • Assist and mentor Associate and Staff level Implementation Analysts on digital marketing and fundraising best practices

How you'll get it done:

  • Understanding customers, proactively gathering information to learn about their needs and expectations
  • Being responsive to any data indicating a customer opportunity or change in customer needs
  • Asking critical, insightful questions, and probe for information that facilitates problem solving
  • Employing unique types of analysis, generating new, innovative ideas in complex, multi-functional areas
  • Looking beyond obvious solutions, and identify underlying or hidden problems or trends across groups
  • Communicating ideas and information in a form well matched to and well received by the audience
  • Having a solid understanding of the Blackbaud products and actively seek opportunities to expand solution delivery capabilities
  • Challenging self and others to push the status-quo

What we'll want you to have:

  • 5-10 years digital fundraising/marketing experience required
  • Demonstrated results of improving digital donor acquisition, retention, engagement and stewardship for a nonprofit
  • Forward thinker who is current on ever-changing digital fundraising and marketing trends, best practices, industry reports and benchmarks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Detail oriented and ability to manage time and tasks efficiently
  • Basic problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Positive attitude centered on achieving high client satisfaction, both internal and external
  • A Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Blackbaud products, especially Luminate Online, is strongly preferred
