Engineers at Big Fish Games come from a variety of backgrounds. Whether you’ve worked on AAA console games or highly interactive web experiences using JavaScript, we’re looking to add an engineer who has solid fundamentals, a good attitude, and a strong desire to learn. Our team is small and you would have an opportunity to be a big part of the future of the Lifeline franchise. As a game engineer you will be responsible for seeing a feature through the entire process of design, build, release and analysis.


  • Collaborate with a team of engineers, artists, designers and QA to deliver exciting new content and outstanding user experiences
  • Take ownership of features across both client and server
  • Develop in an agile environment to deploy performant code to support multiple mobile platforms
  • Profile, identify, and implement performance enhancements across the game


  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2+ years professional experience in software development
  • Experience with one or more of the following languages: C++, JavaScript, Java, Objective-C, Swift
  • Experience with the entire development life-cycle from gathering requirements to launching
  • Experience programming for mobile devices on iOS and/or Android preferred
  • Comfortable switching environments and code bases quickly and efficiently


  • Experience working with NodeJS
  • Working knowledge of Xcode and/or Android Studio
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience working with ReactJS


  • Detail oriented, motivated, and a self-starter who can work without supervision
  • Solid sense of humor, passion for your work and desire to grow yourself and those around you
  • A strong verbal and written communicator
  • An excellent critical thinker and problem solver, with demonstrated analytical skills
