  • Lead the customer growth marketing strategy - developing and managing all customer acquisition campaigns and strategies across paid, owned, and earned media
  • Manage the cost per acquisition of customers across channels, managing to payback targets based on customers lifetime value
  • Design and develop media and campaign testing strategies targeting customer segments, influencing key moments in the customer decision journey
  • Lead the customer acquisition marketing team, providing mentorship and development as well as deep domain expertise coaching
  • Partner with the analytics team to ensure testing, tracking and targeting strategies are measured and managed
  • Partner with the product marketing teams to align customer acquisition strategies with customer onboarding experiences
  • Own the growth in customers for Betterments’ three business lines - Retail, Betterment for Business, and Betterment Institutional


  • 12+ years of Marketing experience with 5+ years at the Director level
  • Bachelor's degeree from a top tier college, MBA preferred
  • Consumer and B2B Experience
  • 6-8 years experience owning paid marketing channels - digital and offline
  • Experiencing testing and manage incrementality of marketing efforts
  • Comfort in a high performance, metrics driven organization
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical background with proven ability to use analytics to assess performance and identify opportunities for optimization and additional scale
  • Ability to partner across finance, analytics, creative, product, and growth teams
  • Creativity, breadth of interests, and initiative
  • Ability to learn quickly
