As Best Made continues to rapidly grow we are seeking to hire an IT Manager. The candidate is a service-oriented professional who enjoys helping people solve their day-to-day technical problems while developing, deploying and operating long-term solutions that benefit brand wide operations. This position has responsibility for overseeing administration of e-commerce infrastructure that includes a Spree front-end, Shopify POS and integration to finance and shipping systems. Critically, this role is scoped to include significant ownership of the specification and roll-out of new systems as we extend the reach and capabilities of Best Made Company’s operational systems, looking to improve inventory management, financial reporting and integrate modern front-end demand creation systems. Internal users run MacOS and Windows 10 laptops, with infrastructure. Our internal systems currently run on Windows over Citrix and Linux on AWS.
The most successful candidates will have significant experience overseeing a variety of projects from conception to finish as well as mastery of Windows and MacOS, and experience with Linux, e-commerce systems, and SMB financial reporting systems; experience with Amazon AWS is a plus. When not supporting day-to-day operations, the candidate will help design strategies and policies to address existing and anticipated business and operational needs of Best Made Company.
Manage the ongoing development and deployment of Best Made’s e-commerce front-end and operational back-end systems.
Determine requirements and manage 3rd party development for e-commerce and ERP infrastructure.
Support hosting and operations partners in managing the ecommerce and ERP systems.
Purchase and deploy user laptops and backend servers
Design and prepare quotes for large IT equipment purchases
Respond to IT support requests from a centralized operations ticketing system
Manage user accounts for Google Apps, Box, LastPass, and all other company provided services.
Administer VoIP phone system in the main office as well as remote sites
Support office network in conjunction with our networking vendor
Coordinate with facility ISPs to ensure internet uptime
Administer centralized backup system for MacOS and Windows computers
Develop strategic plans for new IT services in conjunction with the Director of Information Services
Share 24/7 on-call responsibilities to respond to IT service outage
Experience “You Have…”:
7-10 years experience in a IT or Program Management role.
3-5 year experience supporting Windows and MacOS computers
2-3 years experience supporting email and calendaring systems, preferably Google Apps
1-3 years experience with SMB financial systems (e.g. Quickbooks, Intacct, FinancialForce, Xero)
1-3 years experience with systems transformation projects.
Familiarity with internet-based voice systems
Excellent investigative and problem solving skills
Excellent program management skills.
