Engagement Lead/Sales Director - MachineMax

MachineMax is a revolutionary wireless telematics service created by a dedicated team of engineers, scientists, designers and construction professionals based in London, UK. Our product, which is 100% compatible with all makes and models, uses wireless sensors which attach within seconds to the machine, allowing customers to instantly start monitoring performance via our intuitive app which is available both on desktop and mobile devices. Backed by Royal Dutch Shell, BCG Digital Ventures and B Capital Group, MachineMax gives customers total control over the fleet, allowing them to track the location and cut fuel, CO2 emissions and maintenance costs whilst reducing costs and time.

We are looking for an Engagement Lead to join our Sales function, leading from the front, chase down and close big ticket deals and aiding recruitment for Global Sales Team. The Engagement Lead will be instrumental in helping us develop and deliver a suite of World first IoT products and services from our HQ in London.

What you'll do:

  • Originate and acquire big deals within the global construction industry
  • Responsible for long term client and account management
  • Develop short and long term sales strategies within new channels, geographies and industries 
  • Build and lead an effective sales team
  • Set-up a sales operation and manage it effectively 
  • Partner management, creating a channel network made up of distributors and ISVs
  • Ability to speak at conferences, seminars and press events representing MachineMax in the market 
  • Customer evangelist, take customer feedback to our Product team to help us improve

What you'll bring:

  • Background or Degree in Engineering preferable
  • Experience in Mining, Heavy Duty Vehicles, Construction Industries
  • Experience within one of the following sectors beneficial; strategy consultant, top tier tech, private equity, investment banking or venture capital firm
  • Passionate about heavy industries and technology 
  • Experienced in B2B selling (preferably selling SaaS solutions to industrial companies globally) 
  • Willing and capable of working in a fast growing start-up
  • Is entrepreneurial in nature but can also manage a scale-up
  • International experience
  • Willing to travel extensively 
  • Great communicator - written and spoken 
  • Motivated, self-driven
