Client Strategy Manager

As a Client Strategy Manager, you will help manage our premium clients and campaigns through best in class customer service. This is an opportunity to craft strategic media plans, utilize your project management skills to bring campaigns to life and grow client relationships through up-selling and providing strategic sales support. *Local candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

Pre-sale:

  • Support the Sales and Sales RVPs to identify the client’s needs, and help them achieve their KPIs
  • Support and manage the client acquisition process across rate table and display businesses; the upsell of existing business through outstanding account management
  • Work with internal clients across multiple departments – Sales, Marketing, Editorial, Ad Operations and Programmatic – and external clients and advertisers
  • Create media plans to maximize revenue opportunities for major agencies and advertisers
  • Establish packages/products based on inventory and market trends to guide Sales on greatest return deals (full RFP process: create, maintain and improve RFP repository, tracking system and monitor lifecycle)
  • Work closely with Product to scope new product offerings and provide client feedback on current features
  • Provide internal and external customer service (client and team inquires, requests)
  • Identify Bankrate’s new opportunities based on market trends and client feedback – social, email, new ad units/sizes, mobile, video, etc.

Post-sale:

  • Point of contact for all client engagements, sales and client reporting, optimizations, and overall campaign
  • Analyze campaign performance and create strategic optimizations
  • Manage clients and accounts
  • 3rd party submissions, tracking and reporting
  • Manage the receipt of creative input and materials from clients, owner of campaign launch and maintenance
  • Maintain client approvals / documentations in SalesForce and handle revised Insertion Orders
  • Work with the Finance team on monthly billing reconciliation
  • Create campaign wrap up decks, performance reviews and account analyses

Requirements:

  • Digital media experience
  • 1+ years as an account manager or similar role
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in an ever-changing environment
  • Exceptional skills in time management, organization and teamwork
  • Must be proactive, results oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Committed to growing client relationships and making our partners successful
  • Experience with Windows applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • Experience with ad servers such as DFP
  • Experience with work flow management systems such as Operative One
  • Experience with third party vendors such as DFA, Sizmek, Pointroll, Atlas
