Bankrate Social Media Intern

Bankrate.com is seeking a social media intern to help manage the day-to-day operations of Bankrate's social media department. In this internship, you will gain hands on experience in a growing social media program and will have the opportunity to work on launching two of Bankrate's new social media brands.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in scheduling daily social media posts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn
  • Monitor and flag trending topics for the team to use on our social channels
  • Compile analytics for the team's weekly reports
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions
  • Assist in conducting social interactions (Facebook Live, Twitter chats, etc.)
  • Assist in creating pins for the company's two Pinterest accounts
  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategy for company's new marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • Experience or interest in social media
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Strong writing and organizational skills
  • Interest in learning new social media tools
  • Willingness to take initiative and propose new ideas
  • Be a team player and enjoy working collaboratively
  • Some graphic design experience is preferred, but not required
