Strategic Business Analyst

Job Description:

Our office in New York City is looking for a driven, analytical and ambitious individual with the ability and willingness to learn and implement Bankers Healthcare Group’s business process strategies. You will experience working in a high‐energy environment while continuing to gain extensive knowledge of the financial lending industry. This person will be integral in maintaining the company’s current decision strategies while also identifying areas for improvement in structure and new company initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a strong desire to learn and grow professionally, as well as a willingness to adapt to change and get involved in a number of different areas. It will take strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills to be successful in this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with business end-users, analytics, operations, and managers to identify and document business requirements for changes to existing and new business initiatives
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining technical documents detailing the company’s workflow and strategy
  • Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and provide recommendations to improve current business strategies
  • Design, build, and implement changes to strategies in company’s decision engine
  • Monitor reports to insure system and strategy accuracy
  • Function as liaison between information systems group, vendors and other departments, as needed
  • Responsible for active involvement with Quality Assurance teams; defining the QA strategy, test plans and use cases for QA activities

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or another similar quantitative field
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a business analyst or similar role
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing and analyzing Business processes & procedures
  • Must possess a highly logical and analytical mindset
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to interpret requests and give quality results in a timely manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (experience in MS SQL Server preferred)
  • A firm understanding of AGILE/SCRUM Methodology
  • Project Coordination/Management experience is a plus
