Responsibilities

  • Perform financial and operational due diligence (as part of a team) for clients who are acquiring businesses
  • Participate in client meetings and site visits while interacting with top-level management, C-level executives, and investors to obtain pertinent information for financial analysis
  • Preparation of pro forma financial models and related pro forma financial analyses to help clients evaluate their acquisition decisions and financing requirements
  • Produce and present strategies verbally, visually, and in writing with PowerPoint, proposals and engagement letters
  • Manages multiple tasks, prioritizing time and communicating potential conflicts to manager and partner
  • Demonstrates flexibility and takes responsibility for getting things done
  • Interact with the other functional areas of the practice including Tax, Audit, and other Consulting groups
  • Use various software tools as designated by the firm
  • Represent the firm in community activities and professional associations


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA Eligible
  • 2-3 years' experience in an Audit practice (or Transaction Advisory) within a national public accounting or consulting firm or similar work experience
  • Experience building financial models, deep financial analysis and financial statement audits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, data functions, macro) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be very highly organized and have the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment
  • Comfortable interacting with C-Suite executives
  • Ability for light travel (typically once per month)

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
  • Master degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Active CPA license
  • Project Management experience
  • Ability to supervise and lead client engagements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to effectively interact with team members and external clients
  • Experience thriving in an ever-evolving environment
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Work within tight deadlines and take responsibility for getting the job done in a timely manner
  • Self-starter
  • A good balance of strong audit skills and business acumen
  • Desire to train, coach, and mentor
  • Preferred industry experience in one or more of the following privately held businesses:
    • Outsourcing services, Food services, Oil field services
    • Energy, Aerospace, Healthcare, Residential development
    • Retail, Distribution, Manufacturing, Technology
