Responsibilities
BT Prep is Baker Tilly's (BT) nationally centralized "processing center" established to gain efficiency, standardize processes, reduce costs but most importantly to more effectively utilize the time of our accounting professionals. What you will do:
- As a Medical Data Validator you will be an integral member of the firm providing the following:
- Validate, for accuracy, data and scanned confidential documents for medical claims, including correct reimbursement review until the account is resolved by either receiving payment or rejection of claim
- Assist with data entry work as needed
- Ensure client confidentiality by following all company procedures regarding information handling compliance with our client patient accounting policies and procedures
- Participate in special projects as necessary
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:
- A high school diploma/GED required
- Experience working in a hospital or medical office preferred
- A demonstrated working knowledge of computers required
- Medical billing experience preferred
- The ability to pay extreme close attention to detail and follow directions and outlined procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-focused environment
