Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Manager to join our Healthcare Consulting team. Baker Tilly professionals manage consulting projects from contract initiation through contract completion. The position responsibilities include providing consulting services to identify revenue cycle opportunities that provide financial benefits. The manager must be able to analyze and present data, communicate clearly and concisely, and manage teams of individuals to demonstrate significant value to the client.

  • Partners with consulting practice leaders to maximize revenue in the business unit
  • Proactively identify and evaluate new service offerings based upon industry needs and works with leadership to integrate into current service offerings
  • Lead portions of the analysis and documentation of provider revenue cycle processes, while focusing on specific areas of concern identified by current revenue cycle methodologies
  • Understand and provide industry best practice revenue cycle guidance and recommendations for provider revenue cycle operations
  • Recognize and identify process challenges in a provider setting and escalate concerns timely
  • Works with practice leadership to assist in and learn the sales process with proposal development and working on sales initiatives
  • Summarize engagement findings and report to practice and client leadership as required
  • Work directly with provider leadership, as needed
  • Support customer retention and contract growth by providing superior service focused on people, process and technology
  • Manage the operational and financial analysis of client operations
  • Manage the analysis and identification of opportunities to improve cash flow, net revenue and cost containment through creative process management approaches
  • Supervises practice and client teams to implement operational improvements
  • Monitors the consulting team to ensure that all assigned tasks are completed on time according to project workplan
  • Responsible for helping to develop staff growth as both general consulting practitioners and specific industry / service line knowledge transfer
  • Directly accountable for portions of the implementation of assigned projects


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or other relevant degree. MBA or master's degree in healthcare highly desired
  • Minimum of 7 years progressive Revenue Cycle operations management experience. Minimum 4 years in a consulting role
  • Relevant industry experience may substitute previous consulting requirement
  • Experience leading large scale transformation engagements
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, including ability to review quantitative and qualitative data and reach sound conclusions
  • Understanding of Revenue Cycle operations, concepts and systems
  • Understanding of process mapping and workflow redesign techniques
  • Ability to lead and motivate work teams
  • Organizational, planning, and delegation skills
  • Working knowledge of hospital reimbursement principles
  • Good project management and time management skills
  • Must be proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Access, and be very detail-oriented
  • Experience with workflow automation toolsets (e.g. Ontario Systems Artiva) strongly desired
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at various levels of an organization
  • Willingness to travel as required, up to 80% for client engagements
