Responsibilities

  • Guide and review audit work papers prepared by junior staff and seniors while resolving problems directly with the client and team
  • Responsible for budgeted engagement hours and deadlines
  • Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues in the office, other service lines, and engagement/project teams
  • Manage multiple tasks and communicate accounting and auditing matters to Senior Managers and Partners
  • Identify client performance improvement opportunities
  • Communicate and interface with clients throughout Dallas/Fort Worth
  • Inspire and mentor junior staff members to enable them to reach their maximum potential
  • Use various software tools as designated by the firm
  • Represent the firm in community activities and professional associations


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without future sponsorship
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Active CPA license
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with applied knowledge of U.S. GAAP and GAAS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (public speaking skills a plus)
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Recent team leadership or supervision of engagement team
  • Capable of developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Proficient knowledge of Engagement Software systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Must be highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks in a complex, dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel < 25% annually
  • Self-starter

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies
  • Master's degree in Accounting
  • Strong leadership, communication, project management, and team building skills
  • Regularly looks for opportunities, recommendations, and additional firm services that could benefit client
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Is focused on developing technical skills and is committed to continuous performance improvement
