IT Support Intern

Overall Responsibility:
We are looking for an IT Support Intern to provide desktop user support and general IT services. This will be a paid internship (15-20 hours per week), flexible around school schedules. The IT Support Intern will report directly to the IT Manager.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Answer IT support calls and emails
• End-user desktop/laptop support for all PC and Apple hardware, software, peripherals, printing, and network issues
• Helpdesk/Troubleshooting for applications on a Windows/Apple platform
• Create and administer new user accounts
• Create and maintain How-To, FAQ, and other support related documentation
• Purchase and setup new laptops, peripherals, and software and maintain laptop images
• Support all existing business applications
• Tackle other technology assignments as needed
• Remote work at satellite offices and off-hour maintenance

Qualifications
• Current student with a major or minor in Computer Technology or a similar field
• Able to work a minimum of 2 days
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Good communication skills both written and verbal are required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to multi-task
• Experience with computer operating systems (Windows, OS X, etc.)
• Familiarity with PC and Apple hardware and peripherals
• Basic networking knowledge
• Knowledge of Office 365 / MS Office Suite and MS Outlook / Google Apps / Dropbox
