Weld Engineer

The candidate must be able to provides engineering and technical support for welding operations in fabrication/manufacture of products. Researches and develops concepts, designs, materials, functions, and performance, fabrication test, and modification of products. Researches and recommends weld equipment, identifying limitations and capabilities. Prepares, conducts, and evaluates Weld Engineering analysis/documentation, test/examination, performance and procedure qualification in compliance with customer requirements and applicable welding standards and specifications. Provides significant floor support to manufacturing and welding operations. Should be able to trouble shoot weld equipment issues. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Degree in Weld Engineering. Knowledge of manufacturing operations. Familiar with work instructions. Fluent in weld procedure development and performance qualification of welders Preferred Skills and Education Knowledge of metallurgy. Troubleshoot weld equipment issues.
