Waterfront Liaison

Job Description

Successful candidate will review all work specifications and produce/submit route sheets for Post Shakedown Availabilities for a HII built DDG 51 Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer. Candidate must collect comments and incorporate them into work spec if applicable for all PSA Combat System changes.
Work with BAE Systems Team, other contractors and government personnel to obtain Statement of Work for items on Post Delivery Planning Tool , ship check, update SOW and submit route sheet
Work with PMS400D6 Objective Quality Evidence and PSA Planning Yard to develop Work Specs, participate in Work Spec Reviews
Participate in Team 6, SPRs, PD Team Ship Checks, IWS Ship Tours, SRR, PSA Planning Conferences and other meetings as directed by the Post Delivery Lead WFL and Post Delivery Manager
Participate in Lesson Learned, Trail Card and other reviews to support possible PICP development for long term correction of issues being identified on multiple hulls
Support the PSA teams onsite as required to cover manning issues

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Experience in reviewing Work Specifications for change installations, US Navy and/or shipbuilder drawings, and various change packages.
Experience in developing, distributing and receiving comments on Route Sheets distributed for PSA.
Security clearance requirement: Eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Other required skills/experience:

Experienced in MS Office Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Power Point
Strong attention to detail with organizational and problem solving skills
Ability to interface constructively with a diverse government and contractor population
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Education

Desired, but not required:
Active DoD Secret security clearance
US Navy Combat Systems or Ship Builder design experience
Post Delivery or Post Shakedown Availability experience
