Job Description

This position is controlled by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

There is no relocation assistance available for this position. If relocation is required the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at his/her own expense.

This position is part of the BAE Systems team located in Keyport, Washington.

This position is located in the Enterprise Engineering Division in the Human
Performance Engineering Branch. The Incumbent performs a subject matter
expert function as part of a small team that uses virtual reality and
augmented reality to create training and performance support solutions for
the VIRGINIA Class (SSN) submarine's Virginia Payload Tube system.

The Incumbent is ideally a former US Navy Submariner with recent experience
in the operation, maintenance and employment of operational submarine (SSBN,
SSGN, SSN and undersea support) systems. The incumbent must interface
smoothly with a wide range of people in military and industrial
organizations. The newly emerging or rapidly changing technical areas of
mixed reality and trainer engineering influencing the system level work is
highly dependent on the equipment specialist's system expertise for
technical accuracy, currency and application. The incumbent will work in an
agile environment, which requires participation in rapid development and
adaptation to shifting priorities.

Required Skills and Education

Bachelors in Education, Curriculum Development or related subject.
A minimum of 4 years related and recent professional work experience.
Active DoD security clearance
Navy Master Trainer Certification
Excellent computer skills including the ability to perform data input and extraction
Proficient with MS Office Products
Ability and experience with revising or writing standard material for reports, manuals, briefs, instruction books and related technical publications and procedures.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Excellent verbal and written communications
Ability and willingness to work without direct supervision

Preferred Skills and Education

A tour at TTF is preferred.
Desired experience in the development, management and execution of
Navy technical submarine training programs.
. Desired familiarity with emerging technologies related to electronic
technical manuals and references; distributed learning; virtual, augmented
and mixed reality delivery methods used in a fully developed integrated
approach to adult learning and Navy technical training.
