Vehicle Dispatcher

Job Description
This is a Union position governed by a CBA. Acceptance of the position requires membership in the IAM&AW Union.

There is no relocation assistance available for this position. If relocation is necessary, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at his/her own expense.

This position will issue vehicles, review production/operations schedules and customer requirements identifying potential conflicts. Prepares documentation to issue or allocate materials to meet requirements. Monitors status, updates data, and controls movement of all assigned vehicles.

Coordinates and expedite the flow of materials, tools, parts assemblies and complete items between production shops: receiving, shipping stowage, excess/reutilization areas, and off-site locations. Reviews production schedules and customer requirements. Prepares documentation to indict or allocate material's to meet requirements. Requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to locations according to priorities and anticipated availability of material. Examines materials delivered to verify of type specified.

Monitors status, updates data and controls movement of material and parts with multiple inventory, shop floor control, transportation and material movement systems. May move or transport material from one area to another, using MHE. Maintains computerized data records and files of historical actions taken.

Complies and publishes reports on quantities and type material on-hand, shortages of material, issue refusals, and actions taken. Performs minor and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

Prepare documentation to induct or allocate materials to meet requirements

Monitor status, update data, and control movement of material and parts within multiple inventories

Maintain computerized data records and files historical actions taken

Typical Education and Experience

Minimum education requirement: High School/GED

Security clearance requirement: Must have active final DoD Secret security clearance

Must have the following skills/experience:

Valid Washington State drivers' license

Demonstrated experience and above average proficiency with MS Excel, including use of formulas
Experience with PCs using various logistics and office application programs
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of personnel

Preferred Skills and Education Highly desired education/skills/experience:
Associate's degree
Demonstrated experience as an effective member of a successful team
Working knowledge of computerized inventory and control systems
