US Navy Shipboard Installation and Repair Field Service Lead

The selected candidate will supervise and provide oversight to installation/repair teams completing US Navy combat system ship alterations and repairs. Responsibilities include thorough ship checks to determine scope of work and to determine potential conflicts between installation drawings and actual shipboard configuration. Ensure installations are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with US Navy standards. Build material lists from official drawings and coordinate to ensure required material is ordered and received in a timely manner. Coordinate with various activities to ensure proper scheduling of services and resolve installation difficulties. Conduct briefs and attend meetings.

This position is located in Chesapeake, VA . There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Chesapeake, VA or surrounding areas.

Minimum Education and Experience High school diploma and at least 11 years of related experience Required Skills and Education Ability to read and interpret US Navy installation drawings, technical manuals, and schematic drawings.

Ability to work in an industrial environment and wear all required safety equipment.

Previous installation/repair experience on a US Navy ship or similar platform.

Ability to interface with senior and junior personnel.

Familiarity with NAVSEA Standards.

Active security clearance and ability to maintain.

High school diploma and at least 11 years of related experience Preferred Skills and Education Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.

Previous US Navy shipboard experience.

Previous experience installing and testing shipboard electronic systems.
