Training System Operator

Job Description

Provides operations support for simulation and tactical equipment to include testing, debugging, verification, validation and accreditation. Analyze computer programs and interfaces across labs over distributed testing networks. Scenario generation requirements include AEGIS Simulation, Test and Training Systems (ASTATS), Next Generation Simulator (NGS), Radar Scene Generator (RSG), Test protocols and network pathways may include standard Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) and Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA), Tactical Data Information Links (TADIL), DIIAC and Joint Mission Environment Test Capacity (JMETC), live events (CEC, Link16) and other networks.

Typical Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Minimum education and years of related work experience required. High School Diploma/GED and at least 5 years of experience in surface combat systems training systems to include experience working with two or more of the following developmental training systems: Next generation Simulation (NGS), AEGIS Combat System Training Systems (ACTS), Battle Force Tactical Training System (BFTT), Wrap Around Simulation (WASP), AEGIS Simulated Test and Training System (ASTATS), E-2D IAB and follow on training systems. MULTOSTS/ASTATS may also be considered.

Security clearance requirement: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Selected candidate will receive a contingent offer and start date will be delayed until at least an interim Secret clearance is granted.

Preferred Skills and Education

Highly desired, but not required:
Active DoD security clearance
Experience in an RDT&E environment
GCCS, GCCS-M, CANES and IFF experience
Acting as the Training Petty Office for Division
