Training Coordinator

The training coordinator is responsible for printing, assembling and delivering/shipping training materials and visual aids to training facilities, ensuring training facilities, hardware and software are operational in advance of training sessions, and maintain training files in corporation with customer’s training. Assist students with obtaining accesses needed for training; Provide administrative support to instructors; Create training classes in registration system; Monitor and update class rosters; Create certificates; Create and send confirmation emails to students; Complete student attendance in agency database; Assist PM with creating monthly training metrics; Generate training reports for each completed class monthly; Attend training IPTs and other meetings and take meeting minutes; Preform government furnished equipment related activities including maintaining and managing inventory; Prepare and submit travel cost estimates for approval and manage travel budget; Assist in developing and maintaining training schedules; May be assigned special projects as needed to support new initiatives; Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education – Bachelor Degree and 5 years work experience or 11 years of experience in lieu of a degree

  • 5+ years training coordination and administration experience in supporting government IT projects
  • 5+ years of experience in coordinating and scheduling training courses with multiple customer organizations
  • 4+ years of experience in coordinating and preparing training facilities at customer locations
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting government training curricula
  • 3+ years of experience in various training delivery methods to large and small audiences in multiple geographic locations
  • 2+ years of experience in managing the GFE inventories
  • General knowledge of Supply Chain Management Systems
  • Basic knowledge of learning management systems, and e-learning course delivery
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with internal and external contacts at multiple levels
  • Proven documentation, presentation and briefing skills & advanced proficiency within Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
  • Excellent facilitation, organizational and interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with others

  • Prior work experience with DHS/FEMA
  • Technical writing and editing
  • Project Management
