Traffic Administrator

Job Description
Perform a variety of complex administrative traffic functions. Assist in the preparation of various shipping documentation and daily ship logs. Coordinate transportation pickups with freight carriers/brokers and communicate with all levels of management to resolve traffic issues.

Required Skills and Education

  • Prepare various types of shipping documentation to support all revenue and non-revenue shipment requirements and assure all contractual requirements are met.
  • Contact freight carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups to assure shipping schedules are met.
  • Coordinate with program management, material planning, government property and external customers to resolve any traffic issues.
  • Interface with Contracts and Export departments to address and resolve any issues that may impact shipments. May also interface with various Government agencies as necessary.
  • Interface with external customers via various electronic systems including government entities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
    Requires an Associate's Degree or equivalent and two (2) years of related experience; or a High School education or equivalent and specialized courses plus a minimum of 4 years related experience.
    Proficient in MS Office Tools.
    Oracle experience preferred.
    Working knowledge of government contracts pertaining to the delivery of manufactured goods and government owned property a plus.
