Test and Verification Software Analyst

BAE Systems is seeking a highly motivated Computer Scientist to join the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Landing Systems program. The selected candidate will collaborate and work with a multi-disciplinary team in a research and development environment of a military test and evaluation facility.

The basic function of this position is to contribute in developing and sustaining next-generation landing systems. The selected candidate will:

a. Write test procedures to ensure new software passes verification and validation criteria .

b. Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.

c. Write test procedures to satisfy requirements of approved test plans.

The Computer Scientist will also have the following tasks and responsibilities:

a. Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications; understand technical requirements of moderately complex systems that have multiple stakeholders.

b. Work with internal and external organizations to support various customer user level requirements.

c. Work with members of the software team, product managers, and customers to develop, integrate, configure, and test end items.

d. Perform system level testing of software releases.

e. Troubleshoots minor technical issues, documents the problem, develops procedures, and communicates recommended corrective action to engineering team.

Thisposition is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary’sCounty Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval AirStation.
