Technical Specialist

Work closely with contractor and Navy program management staff to develop and update critical program planning, technical, and budgetary documentation. Provide expert analysis of program requirements, functions, and performance. Use your advanced skills with MS Office and Project to collect, analyze, and present essential data in appropriate formats. Coordinate with functions across multiple facilities to develop and maintain long-range schedules. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Minimum education and years of experience required: HS Diploma/GED and at least 6 years experience encompassing combat system engineering, requirements engineering, test and evaluation, lab test site activation, lab operations, configuration management, quality assurance, long-range scheduling, design reviews, cost estimating, and budgeting.

Security clearance requirement: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). Selected candidate will receive a contingent offer and start date will be delayed until at least an interim Secret clearance is granted.

Also required:

3 years of specialized experience (can be concurrent with above) in financial planning, budgeting and execution of project funds for allocation purposes; integrated management schedule (IMS) development and tracking for planning and budgeting; and coordination of task planning, schedule development and task execution for Navy programs and projects. Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office suite and Microsoft Project. Best practices in applying software functions necessary to prepare complex and detailed planning and budgetary documents and presentations. Processing complex and lengthy technical reports. Participating in Technical Progress Reviews, Design Reviews and program technical meetings; and providing status and inputs to technical reports, white papers and meetings.

Must be willing and able to provide a state issued driver’s license and complete DMV records upon date of hire. If position requires driving of a vehicle 10k lbs and more than 15 passengers, selected candidate must provide proof of completion of Navy Driver Training, in addition to state issued driver’s license and complete DMV records.

Preferred Skills and Education Highly desired, but not required:

Active DoD Secret security clearance

Knowledge and experience with TRMS, iSCSC, ACCESS and WIIMS
