Techical Writer / Technical Editor

Candidate will be responsible for documenting policies/procedures for managing classified and unclassified Wide Area Networks and the associated Local Area Networks. This position conducts IT Enterprise Requirements Board (DRB) and DISA IT Enterprise Configuration Control Board (CCB) administrative functions, to include but not limited to, preparing agendas, documenting minutes, and representing user requirements. They will conduct technical analysis, to develop and maintain the IT Enterprise DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) views (OVs, TVs and SVs) and other network architecture documents. They will contribute to developing/refining ITIL and eTOM based processes and procedures for the identification, prioritization and successful execution of configuration items and their retention in the Enterprise CMDB. Supports audits and quality assurance reviews. Documents new processes for technology insertion into unclassified and classified computer systems/networks for the government. Develops Standard Operating Procedures and other documents as required. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Knowledge of computer/server/network systems

Ability to coordinate administrative activities with specific attention to detail and accuracy

Understanding of the purpose for DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) and the ability to create DODAF views

Ability to work for senior officials in a dynamic environment

Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience required

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance Preferred Skills and Education

  • Microsoft, Cisco, or other similar certification
  • ITILv3 Foundations certification
  • CMII Certification or equivalent
  • DoD 8570 IAT baseline certification. This is a Network+ (CE), A+ (CE), Security+ (CE), SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, GCIH, GCED, CASP, or CISSP (or Associate) certification
