Tech Writer/Editor II
The Technical Writer/Editor will support the Louisville Manufacturing Engineer team writing, editing, proofing operating procedures, Production Verification Data Records (Quality verifications) and other applicable forms.
Edits and proofreads applicable documents, including standard operating procedures and associated support documents, miscellaneous production forms, PVDRs, and proposals for grammar, spelling, clarity of expression, and organization. Ensures documents conform to company and government standards and specifications, and consistency of technical information (i.e., correct nomenclature, verify that text and art agree and no contradictions within the documentation). This individual will conduct proper audits to insure accuracy and compliance with actual operations and to assure procedures are concise and clear for proper training of all operators.
o Interface with personnel at various levels of the organization, including but not limited to department management, operations representatives related to manufacturing and testing processes.
o Interviews production, maintenance and engineering personnel and reads required material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
o Observes production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail.
o Develops, writes, and edits material to establish proper procedures associated with the operation, maintenance, and/or administration of machinery, processes, systems or facilities.
o Reviews and evaluates applicable manufacturing documentations to assure complete accuracy, compliance and no contradictions.
o Coordinates with appropriate manufacturing personnel to select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts to incorporate into process work instructions.
